Chrysalis is a poetic journey that takes you through the experiences of Ikea Williams. You can't help but agree with the author when reading poems Dinosaurs and Ode to My City. You feel her nervousness in Popped Cherry. And you feel the childhood heartbreak and struggles in A Child's Aspirations and Red Sharpie. Williams had a strong poetic voice and covers a multitude of topics from hair politics, being part of the lgbti community, black lives matter movement, broken homes, and defining self. I look forward to her future works.Product details
